So in September I am off to York for a weekend's entertainment with some of my Twitter posse. I know it quite well for the usual touristy stuff, but can anyone recommends, bars/restaurants/hotels/B&Bs please ?
Thank you in advance.

Wifey's going York races on Friday with work, they're going to the Old Siam restaurant will let you know how they get on

I have stopped in cedar court in York,it was very nice and so was the food...

There are plenty of places to visit on Micklegate...

I did like Lowthers though..

We always stay there, the restaurant in the hotel is pretty good too.

I was born and bred in York and go back usually once a month. I'm afraid I can't recommend any hotels as I always stay with family but I'd recommend some restaurants -The Blue Bicycle in Fossgate, a bit further down the same road is Meltons Too in Walmgate. For an indian meal The Mumbai Lounge also in Fossgate.
For B&Bs, a mate of mine has a place on Haxby Road - Mowbray House. It's a 10min walk to the city centre. Check Tripadvisor for reviews: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g186346-d210406-Reviews-Mowbray_House-York_North_Yorkshire_England.html
There is also a good Indian across the road from the B&B!

Thanks for all the advice will look into it :). Not going to go with the Indian though - living in Leicester, I get enough of it here ;).

If you like Ask - the italian chain, Their restaurant in York is in the old Assembly Rooms which are quite impressive.
