Hi people, am trying to find a decent tyre place near Windsor or Twyford (about 10 mile radius) that supplies and fits fun-flats. Anyone been to anywhere decent recently, please? I've been recommended Bracknell Tyre and Battery - I don't have any prior experience with them.
:driving:

More than 10 miles but Micheldever Tyres at ,.......................yes Micheldever (A303 just south of Basingstoke ) always had an excellent reputation and prices

Have also heard good things about Micheldever - going to take a trip there myself sometime soon I suspect

I tend to buy online and fit locally, unless someone can match the online pricing...
www.tyremen.co.uk (seem to be best at the moment)
www.camskill.co.uk - supplied my Vreds
www.mytyres.co.uk - supplied my winters

As odd as this sounds... for run flats also get a price from your local BMW dealer, just don't take their first offer.

Thanks all for the suggestions so far.

wegras and Dr Nick - Micheldever is a little far for me, but the recommendation will help others out that way.

Matt - thank you, had a quick look at the first two websites. Tyremen doesn't seem to have Bridgestones RFT rear that I want; 255/35 R18 90W. No 255/35 at all available.

Camskill website - gives me a guide to start from pricewise, though only for tyre and delivery. Am having a hard week at work so exhausted already; will take closer look another evening and also take a lookie at the third website. :?

Ah man.. :o :headbang: I got a puncture today! It's the first time in the Z4. Need to get this sorted sooner than I would have wanted to change a pair of tyres.

I will probably be looking to change both rear tyres now. Will definitely need a local tyre supplier and fitter (to avoid any delivery problems!). Eek. So again, if anyone does know of a decent local fitter, who's local to Windsor area, within 10 miles, please shout.

Out of interest, has anybody tried repairing a RFT?

The M4 was closed two lanes tonight. I didn't know this, as had gone home on the small roads to keep to as slow as possible speed with the bleeding puncture. It turns out the small roads were jammed anyway - was stuck for 2 hours in jams!! Just had the most satisfying cup of tea.

:headbang: :(

If all else fails I think ? Micheldever may do a mobile fitting .....either way they are heads above most other tyre places and have large stocks...........they also distribute
