Recommendations for lowering Z4 Coupe SiSE

I have a similar question to that posted previously re Eibachs. I have a 3.0SiSE Coupe (07), which I think needs lowering and I think the standard springs on the car are higher than those on a 3.0Si Sport. How low would it be sensible to drop without creating rubbing/sleeping policeman clearance issues? Eibach or H&R seem to be the most used. I don't want the car to look "slammed", it just sits a bit high to my eye and I want to subtly lower it without ripping the sump off. Any thoughts, recommendations, parts numbers or pics would be really appreciated as I can't afford to get it wrong! Wheels are 18" 203's.

Thanks Hizza :)

I always used to think my 3.0 was low enough on the standard M suspension. The Eibachs do look great, but they are maybe too low.

The alternative is to get BMW springs, but they are prone to cracking.

Are there many speed humps where you live :idunno:

Cheers Mike. Two big ramps coming in to my estate - I always slow down to 1st gear which really pees off anyone behind me with "normal" suspension and non RFT's! I get the impression the M suspension is 15mm lower than the "standard" suspension on my SE, which may be enough of a change. I do wonder if a 30mm drop - equivalent to a 15mm drop from a M suspension car may be too much. I agree the standard BMW springs are fragile - my Z4 Roadster broke the drivers side rear spring after I'd had it 8 months (car was 2 years old) and the same happened on my Z4 Coupe in the first week of ownership (again, car was 2 years old)...
