Recommendations for a Fault Code Reader

Looking for a recommendation for a code reader so that I can diagnosis an potential issue with the engine fan. Has anyone any experience with this one? Will it read codes from BMW?

You need a code reader that reads bmw codes from all its ECUs..this if lucky will read a few from the engine….

Protool, Carly, Bimmertool , Foxwell 520 etc are the class you need..
