Recommendation for Battery Replacement

I think after 14 years it might be worth treating the car to a new battery as it isn't getting used enough. What make of AGM battery would people recommend ?

I replaced mine last year with a Yuasa YBX9115 AGM Battery from Battery Megastore. Set me back £137.50. Fits and works perfect.

Varta and Tayna are both great recommendations.

I rang them and they were very helpful without being pushy on the sale.

Purchased from them in the past and they delivered to my Indy for fitting

I got the halfords own brand (which is a rebadged Yuasa) had some vouchers from work and their sale meant I got it fitted at home for £115 Inc coding

Where does it say on the website that they also code the battery to the car?
I've used their home service for tyres and was very happy with the service, so this sounds like a no brainer to me.

They include it as part of the fitting cost - I also asked the guy who fitted it just to be certain - get it done at home, they're more likely to be the better mechanics rather than the work experience kid

I'm struggling to beleive the halfords work experience boy would be coding the car.

Battery out / battery in - all bolts tightened if you are lucky.

If they coded it, you would see - they need to plug in something to the odb port. Did they?

Easy enough to check afterwards - go look at the battery history. It records when it has been changed (last 5 battery changes are stored with the milage).

Yep the guy who came to my house swapped the battery out and went into the obd port.

Spent a bit of time chatting to him as well everything all neat and tidy too.

I've watched the ones at the store changing bulbs/wipers (not on my car) and been less than impressed as they seemed a little "disengaged" (aka clueless)
