Recommend me some mods! cheap and cheerful

Maybe add cruise control if you don't have it - early cars have the wiring for it so you just need the control stalk, which I think is just over £100 from BMW.

Depending how much you like your wheels you might want to swap them - by the time you sell yours that could even be cost neutral!

Definitely agree with removing the CDV and swapping the gear-knob - the ZHP is so much better. :thumbsup:

And a bit over £100 but definitely worth doing is getting your roof motor moved into the boot by one of the guys on here, if it hasn't been done already.

Take the exhaust and manifolds off. Buy some ear muffs and go for a blast - preferably in the early morning or late at night. Come back on here and let us know how you got on and what your neighbours think. :)

Hi
never posted on anything before so apologies if I am meant to start a new post but I'm in the same boat as I have just bought a coupe :D . 08 model on 09 plate, black with red seats and 108s.

1. Which make of spacers are the least bad? If Eibach are considered good, which version? I plan on 20mm at the back.

2. Ive spent most of today trying to pair my phone (and old ones from the kitchen draw) and read many posts. I have a code in the bumph from the previous owner (he didn't try) but no joy. Phone 'sees' the car and I've deleted old phones. Clutching at straws i wondered if the code may be incorrect so have attempted to locate the bluetooth box by removing the driver's side speaker grill and peering behind it but I'm too old and blind to see, and tried pulling up the carpet in the boot but feel if i pull any harder the fixings will break.
I need a really dumbed down account of how to locate the box please - or told to get on with my life!

Cheers

Already been said but;
CDV delete
ZHP gear lever
Clear boot brake light
Stubby
I found the driving experience better with the first 2 cheap mods. Once you’ve got the bug and refilled your wallet then of course;
Ditch the run flats
Wheels?
Modify exhaust
Suspension
It can go on and on until you’ve spent enough to have bought an “M”.
Have fun
