So.... santa finally brought me something i asked for but looking through pads and polishes is a minefield, Ive always done everything by hand in the past, never really polished, just the usual wash it wax it and hoover it out but want to have a go at a proper detail on the zed.
Got the snowfoam, two bucket wash and claying kit ready to go so just need to get some pads and a decent polish and seal combo for a beginner, recommendations appreciated

I use Lake country for foam and Meguiars if you want to use microfibre..

For an easy to use compound that has no fling and is easy to use,Megs ultimate compound is hard to beat.. Plenty of oil in the compound so you can work it for good correction..

I then use a glaze,50 cal show glaze is my personal fave..... And seal with ioncoat naviwax.

All cheap and work well...

I can highly recommend Chemical Guys Hex logic pads, these are available in different cutting and size options, these are what I use and never had one fail and give great results.

Depending on how deep your swirls/scratches are I'd recommend either:

Chemical Guys V range £20 for sample size of all 4 which is enough to do a few cars in various cutting varitions

OR

Sonax EX 04 - 06 - this is a single level polish that restores a high gloss finish, removes scratches and swirls £15

Sonax Cut Max - followed by EX 04 - 06 for a complete correction if heavily swirled. £15

There is a car detailer on the Wrexham Ind Est called CLB Detailing .He also sells pads polishes etc to the public.

hexlogic and meguiars polishes work well 105 and 205, but on bmw paint i favour the microfibre system from megs :)

Mega microfibre pads & their compounds for them.

Worked a treat over the summer, and was my first machine polish
