Galaxy S4. You can't even drag n drop with an iphone-they force you to use shitty itunes! S4 is the perfect size screen and the customisable home screens look loss more polished than a home screen full off apps...

Every so often I find a new trick of what it does... or a new helpful app. I have everything in folders on one page & when this first came out you couldn't place them at the bottom of my screen - until I saw my daughter had done this the other weekend.
Has saved my bacon too any times - meetings - helpful apps - just a bit of fun. The world wouldn't have been th same without it.

Although... I had an iphone 4 replaced after 3 months with one off the shelf.. And its warranty was 12 months from when i first registered it on itunes.
Off topic... Just upgraded the wifes iphone 4 with os7.0.... Its not so great on that... Its pretty sluggish now (not massively so- but not as swish as my work phone)
Also maybe beta related but the fullscreen stuff (weather and compass) doesnt format quite right on her smaller screen.

Love it, and have got used to it's oversize format surprisingly quickly.
Big plus was the little app that ports your old iPhone settings etc straight on to the phone via PC (contacts, music and photos)
Have accidentally tested it's waterproofness too...
I think IIRC you were looking for a small speaker too?

The sound quality is mighty impressive for such a small speaker and pairing is a doddle. Literally turn on the NFC on your phone and touch it to the speaker. Simples.

Well my Galaxy S3 never drops calls - so I'd say an S4 wasn't a bad bet.
I've had smartphones since Windows Mobile 5.0/6.0, and presently have an iPhone 4 (Work) and a Galaxy S3 (Personal). The iPhone is frankly, rubbish, but I am looking forward to iOS 7 to solve a few of the gripes. It just makes me laugh that the fixes to my gripes (such as easy access to the Wifi and settings etc) are just rip-offs of how Android does it.

I am of a similar experience. I had an iphone 4 since its release and I liked it a lot, (but to get to that stage I jailbroke it).
I got the HTC one and it really does blow the iPhone out of the water. Its so fast and and responsive. And the camera is really great in terms of its features such as HTC Zoe, Slow Mo video etc. 1080p recording.
One thing that I have a major gripe about though is the battery life. I'm struggling to make it last a day, and I'm experiencing battery drain even when it's not being used. Whereas the iPhone 4 lasted longer with the same usage. How is your battery Tim?

Not even close. It's just that when I'm out and about. I see very little of the people. As their faces are always looking down preying to the device in their hand while not looking where they are going. or have the ear buds in. When I see a family at dinner. They NORMALLY go through a meal without saying a word to each other as they all have their smartphones out. I see more folks not face one another when they talk any more. Most talk to the person in front of them with fleeting glances in between text messages. How many times have you been talking to someone when their phone rings. How many times have you stopped a conversation to answer the cell. Most will just stop talking mid sentence and answer that phone. That is rather rude.
More & more while I've been talking to a young person they will blurt out LOL to something I have said. How about just laughing if it's funny.
I don't mind tech. I do carry a pay as you go for emergencies. I just think that we have become overly fond of tech to the point of it starting to detract from our relationship with each other.
I guess the tech is still new enough that it is still a novelty. And as such. We haven't learned to control it. Instead we let the tech control us.
