Recommend me a point n shoot-New Camera pics.

Found a few X sites on there, plus some good video x100 how-to's on Youtube. As for the Lumix, they're tricky to find now but my fx-550 has exposure compensation. Wasn't expensive at the time either.

As for simple cheap point and shoot's, id highly recommend the Canon IXUS range, each year they're updated and their low light performance sans flash is amazing.
With regards to Megapixels and Sensors, ignore megapixels, it's all about the sensor quality/size. Canon 40d is only 10.1 MP but will still outshine most compacts claiming 16MP+. Next is the lens, then MP if somehow a 10MP image isnt enough (maybe you're working in graphic design/printing?)

Jimmy, I had an Ixus before and I agree it was a great little camera.
Right, had a little play and I'm impressed so far...
All these were took on Intelligent Auto setting.
I don't think it's got the zed colour quite right tho so I'm going to have to have a look at the settings. On this one it took two quick shots itself to compensate for backlighting (So it said on the screen).

The car colour is more like it on this one.
This next one was taken with no zoom, you can see I've written the word 'bird' in the middle on the wires coming from the pole, where the bird was sat, then on the next one I've zoomed in with it's maximum 20x to take the Swallow on the wires. I didn't use the digital zoom.( I did try that on the horses in the field and was very impressed with the results)

We too have had Canon Ixuss (or should that be Ixii ?) previously (a 40 and a 75)
Based on this thread and a quick trawl of the net, Dot is going to get a T Z4 0 to go with her new Z4.
