Zero interest in electronic gadgets myself but daughter wants the above for xmas , she,s 17 & studying media make-up . apparently uploading footage of your work online can help with sponsorship for beauty products & this can only be a good thing
Sooooooooooo I know the forum is a font of gadget knowledge hence the question ,
Don,t wanna go budget but don,t want to spend all her Xmas allowance on one item  got any links to a good HD 1080 camcorder ?

I've got a Panasonic HDC HS25. I've had it a few years now. It's a brilliant camcorder, sharp images etc.
They don't make that model number now but I would certainly recommend anything in the HDC range as a good choice.

I know there's a limit to what is being spent, but aesthetically, I personally would say spend a little extra and go for a DSLR.

The video has a different look/feel to it than from a camcorder and (as the main function) serves nicely as a camera.

The eos1100d has you covered at £250 if that's something you would want to consider.

I have a JVC Everio GZ-E205WEK, I bought it about a year ago at around £200. I did my homework at the time and chose it after reading reviews online of all camcorders in that price region.

I've been very pleased with it, I'm no expert by any means but it does what it says on the box, the HD video quality is very good and the sound quality is good also.

Get a bridge camera. My Nikon l810 was pretty cheap and I think it's really good even for video
