Recommend me a decent 3rd brake light plssss

Having a nightmare here. Ordered one off fleabay, waited almost two weeks. Several messages later it was refunded as being lost in the post.
Ordered another. This time paid a little more and from a more reputable seller.
The item arrived and it looked completely different to the pics. Was a complete knock off of the knock off :rofl:

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Just buy one from the dealer. The clear one.

The trick is you just want to screw them in very loose. If you tighten them up they crack.
 
I bought a red Gecheer (Chinese ?) light for about £35 on Amazon back in April. Carefully fitted it, gently tightened the three sprung bolts and it's been fine...so far. I smeared some black RTV around the seal also to help waterproofing.
A genuine red BMW light 63256917378 on the Amazon BMW Store is £90.60, almost 3 times as much as my Chinese one. Will the BMW one last three times as long ?.... I very much doubt it. You pay your money and you take your choice :thumbsup:

Thanks colb, can I ask what you mean you had to trim the plug down? You had to use a file or something?
 
Plug was a tad oversize needed shaving down on one side to get it to plug into the loom, just a small amount of plastic needed trimming with a Stanley knife

For a genuine clear third brake light I was going to ask for £45 posted within the UK
