Algae bloom or what! Clean as above, then off topic but important check your roof drains. If that muck has accumulated on top it's a fair bet a lot of crap may have washed down in to the run-off drain (which blocks and causes the classic roof motor failure) A quick search of the forum will reveal all if you are not clued up on this yet :)

The motor has just been replaced by the place I bought it on my request, thankfully at cost. I asked them to clean all the drains whilst the motor was out. Might look good with some dandelions and buttercups.

See what a bottle of dettol will do..... :?
 
Omg!

A good clean will bring it back... I personally like the grey roof (when clean)

But takes a lot more maintenance and care then black
