I know everyone uses Zaino, but after reading AlanL's post about Collinite, http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1974&p=28036&hilit=Collinite#p28036
I did alot more research on extra protectants for the Z.

Since I cannot park my Z in the garage just yet, (FNI, please don't crucify me.... ) I need something to help protect the paint.....Washing the car every other day really sucks.... :headbang: But, since I put on the new Axxis Deluxe II brake pads, my wheels stay clean....

I ordered two bottles of Collinite No. 845 yesterday and it came in today. According to most detailers, if you keep your car outside, this is the stuff to use.... I may get to putting it on the car Sunday.

I will let you all know...

No shame in that, I use Collinite as my winter wax as well; recommended by lots of people on Autopia (a detailer's site) for it's durability. My Sapphire Black Z4 was muscled out of my sole garage spot by my new Sapphire Black M Coupe last week. Still doing better than my 325i, which is now parked on the street!

Collinite is a very good wax . I read very good comments in detailingworld forum! There is no "BEST" wax... Zaino,Sonus, Megs,P21s,Klasse,AG and many more are very good quality waxes....

I agree. I've got about 5 waxes that I use each for different properties - durability, depth of shine, ease of use, ability to layer, compatible with other products, even the temperature I'll be applying it in. The more you know about finish care, the less likely you are to think there's one best wax.

Ship, take before and after pics so we can critique the difference. I did that with the Black Fire and was able to see subtle positive differences. There are so many waxes out there that are very high quality, you just have to do your research and pick the best one for you. I'm looking forward to seeing it

..and get that damn car in the garage!!! :telloff:

I have major spider webs (black sapphire) and I used the zymol cleaner wax a couple of weeks ago and am very pleased with the results. Conveniently purchased it at Target too. :) The spider webs are from the previous owner btw.
