Recently Replaced Top Motor Going Bad?!

So, a couple weeks ago I had my roof motor replaced. All was good until today when it unlatched and the motor just whirred. :headbang: I gave it a nudge and it peeled all the way back. This is what was happening a little while before it quite completely. Any ideas what the problem could be? Maybe the motor is working too hard? Maybe I need to lube the soft top joints?

Any help or thoughts would be very appreciated. I'm really pissed about this and the shop I used is 500 miles away, as I was visiting home and a friend's shop fixed it while we were there.

Hi,
I'm trying to be optimistic here...maybe it's air in the system ?, try opening and closing it a few times one after another, it's supposed to be self bleeding, good luck

I opened and closed it three times. The first time I open it after a while it sticks. If I open it right after it opens with some hesitation, but by itself. It seems that the latches are not fully unlatching, but close. Is there a way to lubricate these or does anyone have any other ideas?

Another thing, the red pull cord in the trunk does seem a bit loose.
