Thanks for the welcome, I was enjoying the car until yesterday when it it in to BMW because I heard a slight gearbox whine in second gear and asked them to check it out for me. Got a phone call this morning to tell me I needed a new gearbox,the car is a 2010 and has only done 29000 miles. Fortunately I have the BMW approved used car warranty and it will cover the cost of this. So far Parks Of Hamilton have been great, I’ve got a nice 218M sport convertible to run about in for a few days

bad luck bud.
This us why sometimes a high miler well maintained are such good value. I'm seeing this on a regular basis at the moment, nit gearboxes but problems in general. Glad it's being sorted though.
