Sadly I'm still waiting to get mine back from the repair shop after some dumb person backed into me.
After I get it back I will still be a two to three day wait to actually drive it and love it like it should be thanks to the recall. Can't belive it took BMW over a year to send this to me after the 1st recall about this.

Oh well, it's keeping miles off the car I guess, but "I WANT MY CAR BACK ALREADY....."

(sighs) End of rant.

I know most of the posters here know about this, but if you are a new to you owner, check and see if yours has been done. It's free to you. (Note) They may find other things wrong and warn you about them. Just be advised.

Pcv is the non heated variety in the UK so no recall over here
Are you sure?
the ETK gives only one variant for the n52 as far as I can see.

But I suspect its a US only recall, I've read about it on us fora only (it affects every model that has the n52)
Wouldn't be the first time that something is a safety hazard in the US and not in Europe :scratchhead:

N52? Okay well that’s me in the clear! Can sleep a little bit easier now :P

I read it somewhere. Obviously it's worth double checking. Are you selecting the US spec cars on etk or just the euro stuff?

Both.
The hoses and valve have all the same partnumbers.
But after oct. 06 the pcv system is completely different (looks like just 1 hose and maybe the rest is integrated in the valve cover).
I don't know if z4's have been delivered that early in europe, but the ETK lists those parts also on european cars (pre 10-'06)

Could also be that on european cars that do have those parts, the powerleads aren't connected. That would solve the issue too

I feel the need to find out somehow - my Z4 was built in September 2006, and my 330i in September 2005.

When you check the MOT history of your car on the UK gov website it tells you there if your car has any outstanding recalls doesn’t it
