Recall checking

Hello folks - have their been any documented recalls for the e89 that I should be aware of?
Also, other than calling the dealer, is there another way of checking they've been completed? (I ask because Honda had a website that you could check recall status on).

Thanks

You can check vehicle recalls on the AA website.

Thanks - I've found another reason to contact the dealer tomorrow! :o

Thanks - this website picks out the serious recalls, but is there anythign out there that you can use to check if the non-serious stuff (like the boot vent 'recall')

Ok, fair enough - does anyone have a comprehensive list of the known 'recalls', that i can ask them to check for?

The security upgrade recall is not on that list...the one highlighted by people reprogramming a key and then driving off with your car

I doubt it unless they work for BMW. BMW put your VIN through their systems which checks what has and has not been done. Just best to take the car in and ask.

Only effects before MY12 I believe and wasn't an actual recall. I've found you have to ask re having that done. Plus a recall is something that could effect/compromise the safety of the car either whilst being driven or parked.

A security upgrade would be a service bulletin, just like the rear vent issue.
