Rear view mirror

Hi, got into my car today and the rear view mirror has a fluid type line across the middle. The car has been parked in the hot sun so assume the fluid inside has burst or something. Does anyone know the part number as all the ones on eBay state e89 only and mine is E85 buy they look exactly the same as mine.

If it is leaking, try to pick up a later model and I understand BMW changed supplier in the later gen 1s and the newer supplier was less prone to leaks. The latest number on Real OEM should be the one to go for rather than the one it supercedes.

I've read in other threads that the liquid is not pleasant stuff and can make a real mess of your centre console if it leaks

Hi I am interested, just depends on the year of the car it came out of

sorry for the delay. The one I have came out of a car being broken. I think from memory it was an 06 but can’t say for certain. It doesn’t look any different to my 57 reg mirror (always been on)

I got it as it was the most economical way to get a new clown nose :roll:

SeanConnor might be your best bet though :wink:

I would remove ASAP before it leaks out and damages your interior.
