Rear view mirror FZV module swap

I’m trying to switch my mirrors around for a replacement one and I’ve read on here you will also need to swap the alarm module inside the mirror however this looks like it solders into place.

Does anyone have any experience doing this job or a work around please?

I don't think you will need to change the module. I've swapped mirrors between an E46 'Vert and Z4 without changing the module.
Might differ for pre face-lift cars?
