Rear tyres

should the tyres on the rear be a different size, just noticed the z4 i bought on monday has 225/40/r18 on all corners
i'm guessing the guys done this to save a bit of cash?

what way does this work for the tyre pressure, should i still run it a bit higher in the rear like 32front 36rear?

(looks like this are 8x18 reps hence the same size allround)

You can fit whatever will fit.

225 40 18 all round should have the correct circumference so they are fine.

tyre pressures are usage and taste dependent, yours sound normal, muck about with them.

A staggered setup is also an option. Some people feel the extra cost is worth it.

Having 225's all round moves the balance of the car more toward the rear, its more of a drivers setup, whereas almost all production cars are designed to understeer
