Just repainted my rear calipers and have had the rear wheels off , ahhhhh inside edge of my rear tyres really badly worn the middle just above the wear marks and the outside edge looks fine .Has anyone else notice this with lowering there car (you might want to check) i expected some inside wear but not to this extent .Looks like next months purchase will be new rear tyres. Just a note when i had the springs fitted i had Hunter alignment done , tyres are Falkens and probably only done 5000 miles of very careful driving

i had this brought it to friends in the dealership they put it on the machine adjusted it , they also pointed out and it wasnt a selling thing , i got it done gratis that their machine takes into account the drop stance etc , just my 2p worth and i realise all may not have personal friends at the dealers but the boys i know , know better than to blow smoke up my bum , since they,ve done it , even wear , handles great .

I'm not sure whether you can adjust camber or not... all I know is that the previous owner of mine had the same problem after he fitted Eibach springs. So, he had these fitted and that seemed to cure the problem. I took a set of Falken ZIEXs off the car and replaced them with 452s - the old tyres had worn perfectly evenly....

I might give my local indi a call to see if it can be adjusted if not i might look in to buying some adjusters.

When you lower the car you increase the negative camber which also increases the toe-in, and it's the increase in toe-in which does all the damage to the inside of your tyres when you're driving in straight lines. You can adjust the rear camber and toe on the Z4 without buying any aftermarket parts. You should dial out the increase in negative camber when you lower the car.

Using the diagram below, you can adjust the toe angle by moving the bracket (17) and/or the eccentric bolt (10), you also adjust the camber on the eccentric bolt. Hope this helps.

Can you not get the correct camber settings for our cars from Eibach, and give them to the guys doing the alignment ?

So I haven't got Eibachs on yet but have some rubbing after fitting 15mm spacers... Only on one side though - drivers side. Car seems a little lower on that side for some reason - spring looks fine though... Will get Jonny or someone else as knowledgeable to look at it tomorrow

I've got a printout somewhere which states the correct settings. It came with the car, so I wouldn't like to take it as gospel... but I was told that it is the specific settings for a Z4 lowered on Eibachs. I'll try to dig it out and scan it...

Cool - thx mrlozzer

Now all I need to do is remember to book my car in to have the buggers fitted :headbang: :headbang:

Oh, and I posted about rubbing on the wrong thread - I am getting rubbing on my front drivers side, nothing to do with this topic at all
