Following…. As I’ve been eyeing up the task as well.
Wondering if dropping the whole sub frame is the way to go.

No need to touch the subframe unless you want to do a full on paint and refurb or replace the subframe bushes?

The RTAB and outer bushes are easy you just need a BMW/Mini puller set and new bushes following Chengys guide posted above.

The inner bushes for the upper and lower control arms are more difficult as the drive shaft and diff and exhaust makes it difficult to get the bolts out. Ive not found a Z4 video on how to do the inner bushes without taking too much apart. They are on my list to do at some point.

I sent back the amazon special bush puller as the threads got all messed up after doing just my RTABS and got this puller set instead https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08TR442TC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it is supposed to compatible with all of the rear bushings on most BMW/Mini cars so seems to be a good investment. And it has the angled bush cups for the upper and lower control arm so you dont have to mess about with getting the brake shield out of the way.
