I wonder if anybody has experienced a knock from the rear drivers side (UK). It is quite repeatable and occurs when the car is on lock and is driven over an uneven surface, such as a low kerb. It occurs both forwards and backwards and on either lock.
I have recently had both rear springs replaced, togeher with the anti-roll bar bushes and drop links. The car had been really noisy around roundabouts and over bumps before this, but this knocking problem still persists...
Could it be another of the suspension bushes, as it seems to occur when the rear is sideways loaded or maybe a drivehaft UJ?
Any help would be appreciated as the garage (VW) seems to be running out of ideas.
