Rear suspension issue

Hey guys,

I have a rather odd issue with my rear suspension. I just installed coilovers but the car hasn't been aligned yet as I am still playing with the height to see what works for me. Anyway, after the last drive I noticed that the right rear wheel gap was significantly smaller than the left one although I just set the heigt equal the day before. After a couple of kilometers, after another stop, it was the other way around. Later on, after another stop, both wheel gaps were normal again. Then later on, again a difference... I can understand that the cabine rolls during driving, but when standing still I wouldn't expect a difference as I assume it would level itself?

Am I missing something here? Did I break something? Really don't get it...

usually yes, even in my garage I have it
could it have to do with the alignment which wasn't done yet?
the coilovers are at the lowest setting, maybe it's just too low?

Yes, it could be to do with alignment - get it done - the car will be safer, and you'll have ruled out the possibility of the ride height issue being attributed to the geo.

I would strongly advise against using any coilovers on the lowest setting - go a touch higher all round.

Always adjust on a completely level surface, and measure the height from the very centre of the wheel cap, to the arch, never from the top of the tyre to the arch.

Once you've made the adjustments, bounce the car up and down on the arches, then check the height again.

Double check everything is tight.

Are the springs rotating? Dependant upon the configuration of the ends of the springs, this can make a difference; you can check this by noting which way the tail ends are pointing and it should be the same on both sides.

springs are currently at the lowest setting. Not sure what you mean... Do you mean that the way the springs are turned, can actually result in a height difference? If they rotate whilst driving, I really don't see how to avoid that, unless setting the coils higher so that there is more pressure on the springs keeping them snug?
