Rear Suspension issue and metal clunk

hi,
Z4 3.0i 2003 owner here

i have a metal clunk in my rear drivers side everytime i go over a bump in the road. i have took a picture of both the rear passenger and rear drivers to compare the suspension.
if you could identify the issue i would be most grateful

Knackered rear top mount would be at the top of my list.

yeah was thinking springs. what are the chances of it being a spring?

Rear coil springs breaking are a common problem - quick search will show you. 99% its a rear coil spring gone. Take the wheels off and you will see the bottom coil snapped and now sitting in the lower mounting- Every time you go over a bump a metallic clang - classic symptoms! Easy fix.

Hi I had a broken rear passenger spring but never experienced any metallic bangs at all. Only found on the M.O.T. Hopefully it is as it isn't that much to replace and is done in 20 mins for mine. Best of luck identifying it.
