rear suspension corrosion-E89 (2010)

Hi. E89 here (2010). Owned since 2016.
Several years ago BMW dealer noted: "corrosion starting to appear on rear suspension."
Used reputable non BMW garage since, with no advisories re rust.
Advisory today on (UK) MOT certificate. "Corrosion throughout rear suspension."
Not kept near seaside.
Will discuss this with garage when I pick up car later but I have heard good reports of Lanoguard, sprayed on.
Any other suggestions?

I've just bought Lanoguard for the underside of mine. Also heard good things about it, so that'll be this winters job while it's sorn'd.

Do you use ramps to get the space?

I have a Lanoguard pack..which I intend to use..the issue is that area gets peppered with stones etc so the paint / protection gets ripped off..

I used to have a Mazda MX5. The forum is full of useful info and references to it as they rust extensively.

My rear suspension like ship paint, several layers now, applied once a year to keep rust at bay.
Last MOT'er commented how well looked after it was..
