Rear strut brace

Yep

Ultra racing also has one

ITs not mounted on the struts but stabilizes the rear chassis legs that are incorporated in the monocoque.

TBH I dont even know if this one bolts into the same place as the wiechers one. The one from the wiechers ebay ad also looks different than the one on the wiechers site, so I have no idea whats what.

Does the Z4 really need a rear brace? I find the back end on mine is really tight, whereas the long front always feels a bit boat like and prone to understeer.

Would be interested to hear people's experiences if they have installed a rear brace.

You might want to take that up with the guy who listed it!

Having said that Wiechers state that: Rear strut bars are not suitable for convertibles and station wagons

So maybe the answer is NO.... but I knew I'd seen a listing

I also doubt that. Even for the front I found the improvement none or virtually none (I have the 3 point ultra racing strut brace).
From all the mods I did on my car (which are a lot) the strut brace was the one that had the least impact on effect.
But luckily it also doesnt cost the world, is very easy to install and it also looks nice (when you open the bonnet of course), so that can also justify the installment.
