Rear springs

Hello,

One of my rear springs broke and I need to replace both.

I see two options (I don't want to spend money for new oem): used oem ones or aftermarket ones. Which in your opinion will be better?

If I choose used OEM: how to differentiate normal and M Sport on photo?
If I choose aftermarket: Lesjofors' ones will be good?

Morning,

I as per add on forum have a set of 4 oem off my Z4mr for sale

20k from new use and no marks etc
See pic below
I only replaced as lowered car

Ignore atr bars

I see one more option: Eibach ProKit.

It's 15mm less than Z4 with M Packet suspension, right? Isn't it too low?

Does it make any sense to put Eibach ProKit springs in my car? I think even this M Sport suspension is very low for me and in my city there are very low quality roads (lot of bumps and holes).

Does your question relate to a Z4M? If not, try the general forum. If it does relate to a Z4M, Eibach springs are great - lots of folk on this forum have them fitted and I don't recall a lot of complaints. I have them and they are really good in my view and cheaper than OEM springs.

Oh, I though M section is both for M cars and cars with M suspension, my mistake :) So I'll try on general forum, thanks.

Yeah because us lowly Z owners can't see what's being written in the M area

Just worth clarifying before loads of typing followed by the inevitable "oh no, it's just go M suspension, it's a Sport..." or whatever - happened before.

If someone could tell me how to describe my car and suspension on forum without being ambiguous: Z4 with M suspension, Z4 with Sport suspension? I'm new in that forum and new Z4 owner :)

No worries mate, hopefully no offence caused, but spec can be important when it comes to matters like suspension as it does differ significantly between models. Keep posting here, it's fine, we'll direct you!

And it might be wise to specify, to avoid further confusion, is your car a E85 or an E89? Could be in the wrong area entirely....
?

Thanks :) It's E85, already create topic in the right section (one for E85) but didn't want to rename this one to 'please delete it' as someone can find it useful
