Rear springs

Hi guys,

Off the run flats now, just back from getting my GoodYear F1's fitted all round....It would seem that both rear springs have gone, is this normal ?
Next question is where best to get replacements and what type ?
2007 3.0 Si sport, 38k on the clock
Cheers,

Paul

Apparently so, the springs have been known to break...

Eibach it all round for less than the cost of two OE springs. Not much of an extra drop from M Sport.

Depends what you want - replace OE on just the rear or go for something else all round.

If you go to RealOEM.com you can put in the last 7 of your VIN and get the OE part numbers.

I think after reading all the posts the best option would be to change out all four while i'm at it, looks like a win win situation with regards handling....just need to know where to get them ?

Just helped find some springs for my Sons 2.5.
I found Eibach on ebay for around £130 shipped from Germany.

I think they are the correct ones for the 3.0si.

But in the end he went for H&R with a lower 35mm drop. Bought them from EuroCarParts for £181.55 delivered as they had stock and could ship next day... just waiting for them to turn up as it happens. The ones for your car maybe different but pop your reg no in and they will point you to the right parts.

Search and you will find.......

How does changing to Eibachs effect the ride quality? I find my z4 awfully harsh on some of these roads around here and 130 seems a more than reasonable price to pay.

Best description I have is less crashy. Not really firmer than M sport springs.

Come to think of it, less crashy is what I want (assuming "crashy" is the weird choppy feeling I get when turning on rough roads...). I am already on the M sport springs and don't think I can really complain too much about the firmness given that it is a sports car.

Sorry weelawser for hijacking your thread :?

Some going here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=74758&sid=948ac014a3502096cc451572ec01e7a5#p1098335

Kind of along my lines of thinking also, with my Z being the 3.0 Si sport does this not have the same suspension setup as the M ?

Anybody speak German :?
Is there any difference between both kits below, look to have the same part no. but a heck of a difference in price ?
Happy enough to wait a few days more if I can save that amount of cash
