If you mean they break - it's common and indeed there's a thread to post to if you want to add your name to a list of those who have had a broken rear.

4 year old z4,both springs failed on the same day due to potholes,
which cost me £380 today,avoid the potholes.

Did you try to get BMW to replace them with it being a well documented problem on the Zed?

bmw not intrested,out of warranty.local garage done them much cheeper.

Is ti just me, or are the rear springs not listed on RealOEM?

I can see springs on the Z4Ms listed, but not for anything else!
