had my rear springs replaced today - used my trusted Indy after being quoted £344 from Stealers - was shown old springs - interestingly he told me he found a stone embedded in the broken spring which may have caused the break - the break in itself was clean with no trace of corrosion - he said it was possible it had only just snapped - car passed MOT 4 weeks ago .

doesn't help on this instance and I'm sure ur just happy it's all done and dusted.... But next time give it a go yourself (alto hopefully these springs will have many years in them)
