The small 4" items got a pair of alpine to replace them is it an easy job,what interior trim has to be removed.

Have you considered putting them in the doors instead? But if you have a basic audio, not sure the wires are there. I think it would even be worth running wires, sort of a waste behind the headrests.

taking doors apart is not my idea of fun,they rarely go back correctly clips snap,poor water sealing etc,in my experience leave doors alone.

Real pig of a job,decided to put 6x9 sreakers in the cubby holes instead like the top system,will probably need grilles or covers to hide them and run cables direct from head unit.

I don't think head unit will have enough power to drive a good set of 6x9s so tap off the two small rear speakers and put amp it boot to drive them as i have done!!

Head unit JVC has 50w output thats enough I think,have some 6.5" 3way in garage will try those first as a cheap solution.
