Rear speaker upgrade, anyone done it willing to do a how to?

Some questions as well

Are there phone sockets on the rear of the head unit?
How does the head unit come out?
If I use a 2 Chanel amp and a couple of decent rear speakers will I be able to balance them with the fronts?

Never done anything like this in a modern so a bit daunting, confident I can get everything apart and back together again but only want to do so if it's worth the time and money

Sure someone posted on here a few years ago instructions on replacing the rear speakers and as I recall it was not that difficult, however fitting the amp is the harder part.

Do a google and there are quite a few installs out there

Are there phone sockets on the rear of the head unit?

No. Blaupunkt make a plug and play wiring harness and 4 channel amp that boosts both the front and rear channels.

The speakers use an unusual 3 hole mounting pattern. There are very few speakers that will drop into the factory openings.

I haven't installed any upgrades yet. Just looking at what is possible.
