Rear spacers?

If you have standard wheels and ride height, then almost certainly yes.

If you have funky wide wheels or lowered car, then it depends.

Hello
Yes, I’m aware of that part :-). My question was whether you can use 10mm or 8mm at the rear for hub centring. Some BMWs require a minimum of 12mm at the rear (where the hub protrudes), which is why I’m asking. You could use 5mm spacers, which aren’t hub-centred, but I think that would result in too little widening, and 12mm would be too much.

Got 10mm all round on mine with 224's and 255x40 tyres. AD09's and PS5's fit with plenty of room with 26" from floor to top of rear arch and 2deg -ve rear Camber. Hope that helps :driving:

I have 20mm on my rear axle, nothing on the front. The rears fill the arches nicely with no problems at all.

As far as I know, the E86 and E85 are the same in this respect. Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.

I know you can by 'hubcentric' in 10mm, and I've removed a set of those from an E85 only recently. Assuming the E86 is no different then yes, 10mm do work and give enough clearance for the centring. Anything less, like 8mm, I have no experience of, but would suspect you'd be below the limit of thickness needed to have the machined centre fit properly.

I've had 20mm rear on my old MV2s and i thought they looked great and 12mm on the front.

I have 15mm on the rear of my E86, with standard wheel offsets, and I used the same spacers on my E85 with no problems. I found 20mm just a little bit too wide for my taste.
