Rear spacer suggestions?

Easy tip is get a small bit of card (credit card size) position it on the top of the tire and out until it touches the lip of the wing and draw a small mark.
Measure the distance and subtract 3-5mm (example say it's 18mm buy 15's).

Whats the offset johnny :lol: 9'' is just the width. There will be something on the back of the wheel saying ET followed by a number, that's your offset.
 
Should have enough space for a 15mm spacer, i'd say.

My tyres rubbed on a 10'' wheel with an offset of 38, so yours being 25mm less in width should allow enough room for a 12-15mm spacer.

If yours rubbed with a 10'' wheel with an offset of 38 what you are suggesting would position his wheels between 2mm and 7mm further out than yours :?

His are 9'' so 25mm less wide than mine, but the offset is 3mm less on his, so in total his wheels are 22mm further in than mine.

Therefore if he put a 15mm spacer on, they'd still sit 7mm in compared to mine... A 12mm spacer would give him 10mm, a 10mm spacer will give him 12mm...

Trust me, his wheel sits 10mm further in than yours.
Yes, his wheel is 25mm less wide than yours but when it sits on the centre of the hub only half of the width sits in and half sits out.
Put the figures into an offset calculator if you really want to check it.

Exactly it is measured from the centreline of the wheel.

So 25mm narrower wheel overall, means that the outer edge of the wheel is 12.5mm further in.

ET 35 vs 38 puts them 3mm further out - net position 9.5mm further in.

Add a 15mm spacer and the outer edge of the wheels are now 5.5mm further out.

Having said all that I think a lot will depend on the actual tyre and the profile of the shoulder ("squarer" tyres sit a bit taller) and of course the amount of camber.
 
Ok I stand corrected. Have you suggested a spacer or are you just happy to get a stubby over proving people wrong?

Some people need help dressing in the morning.

It doesn't have to be this complex. Just follow the earlier suggestion by me, takes all of 30'seconds, the order online

Judging by recent pictures I wouldn't get spacers, you don't need them.
If you do chances are you'll have rubbing issues
