I need to replace the rear shocks as one is leaking. Is it safe to replace with coilovers at the rear only and are they difficult to do?

Surely just getting a pair of normal shocks to match the front makes sense and will be cheaper. Unless you have some Z4 fitment rear coilovers lying around I cant see the logic here. I'm not even sure you can buy just the rears anyway.

Going with coilovers all round, though I believe it is a pain in the a**e job to remove shelf and ancillaries in the boot space. Anyone interested in front shocks and springs 5k use only plus 2 rear springs done about 12k and still not broken?
