Rear shock absorbers

This years winter maintenance includes replacing the above mentioned items. Read it up, allow 3 hours to do the job.
1/2 hour after I started, I was smugly tightening up the last nut, just the tray under the hood to go back on...........
Yup, a 3 hour job . Finally all together and the hood won't move ! I've obviously not got the microswitch doing its job.
Arghhh ! Oh and when I moved the car the EML light has come on
It can sit for a day or two while I sulk.

Sorry if I state the obvious but did you move the tray handles back to allow the roof to open?

I broke my micro switch faffing about in that area- the armature popped out

Was able to remove simply, disassemble and reassemble working

I did check the tray was in the right place But similar boo boos have benn known to happen!

The micro switch had indeed come apart , so a relatively easy fix.
