Rear Parking sensors - continuous tone when engaging reverse

Hello all,
For a while now, when putting the Z in reverse, i get a continuous tone from the rear parking sensors. It lasts for a few seconds (no where near an object) then stops, but then fails to warn of an object close behind.
If I dis-engage reverse and engage again, the tone doesn't come on, but also doesn't warn of an object behind.
This happens 9 times out of 10 when parking in reverse.
Could it be wax / polish on the sensors just needing a de-grease, or do you think they're broken?

Listen to each sensor, it should click.

No click = faulty sensor.

Coniuous beep = faulty sensor somewhere ...

They should click when you put your finger over them.
