Some articles I've read say the LCI has a different rear cluster, darker or slightly redesigned interior. I've not noticed it myself, it must be a minute change if there is one.
Ah thanks. I'm planning to swap my recently replaced rear lights in my 09 Z4 to my new new 12 plate which has some mild condensation. Wanted to make sure I wasn't putting an older design in.
The later clusters (I have a pre LCI) have only two studs instead of three, presumably to prevent the cluster being pulled out of shape by the central stud. Mine were replaced about a year out of warranty with the two stud version.
