Rear Lights New Generation ?

I'm pretty sure these are just the regular ones but the photo has been edited so its black and white except for the red light bars

I have looked everywhere and not found. The car i saw was at a breakers in the UK. I was very surprised to see the clear tail lights.
Unless of course the red lens had been ripped off both sides. Would be costly tooling to make and then not be easily found for sale.

How to ripped off ? :) You think we can rip off only red part ?

Not red but the whole lens is glued on. But why a car in a breakers would have tail lights without lenses anyone's guess.

Would be cool if someone could figure out how to make custom lenses. Should be fairly easy to make a mould of oem ones and form some clear ones from that?

Tool to make the lens probably £20K.
Perhaps someone could ask Magnetti Marelli if they could bang some out clear or buy up the old tooling.
Not noticed if the red part is separate from the clear part.
Quite clever if the red and clear are moulded as one.

You can definitely get a plastic injection machine for MUCH less than £20k. Less than £500 even.

Stick some smoked film over yet lights for a fiver and job's a good'un

The machines might be cheap but The tooling / moulds will cost a lot more than £500 and for the lights to road legal they will need to pass certifications which again costs thousands.

Was at time when they had to go through BSI, but now self certification and stick a CE stamp on it.

To make them road legal CE won't do. You need to have E mark in Europe and that does cost thousands.

Some news pics. I think they are original rear lights... maybe a black cover transparent on bottom of rear lights :D
