REAR LIGHTS FACELIFT PROBLEMS!!!! NEED HELP PLEASE....

Hi all

Please please please can someone help me!!!

I have tried to complete my bmw z4 facelift project but have failed at the final fence!

I cant get the rear lights to work! There seems to be talk about this on the forum but no one stating how or who can do this.

Its really upsetting me now and getting me down to be honest.

You need a new LCM plus coding work, it's a big job!!

Will the light module need to be brand new or could I use the one from the car I took all the parts from? I know the bloke at BMW so could get 10% off price if I need a new one.

Will it need to be an open module and not coded by BM?

Also do I need to place and extra wiring in at all?

Can u do this or know of anyone who can?

New ones are from memory a good few hundred pounds so used would be preferable. I think it would still need to be coded by BMW.

Not sure who can do it, I can't though

You WILL need to have it coded from BMW. The LCM and the GEM hold the vechiles mileage. If the two do not match, then a small dot appears next to the mileage. The BMW dealer has a procedure to synchronize the two...

Just tell your service man what you have done (trying to do) and there should not be too much of a problem..
