Hi guys anybody seen this code before
"lsz2 rear brake light/tail light "

It has come up on both my left and right brake lights , I have checked all the bulbs cleaned up all the connections and checked for continuity.
Any information or help would be much appreciated.

Are you using LEDs, is there any issues other than a code, are all lights working, could it be a old code, clear the code then rescan an see if it comes back

Hi thanks for the reply, no I'm not using LEDs ,the right hand rear tail light does not work. I have tried a couple of times to reset the code, it does go but as soon as I push the brake pedal the light comes back on along with the code.

I have checked all the bulbs and replaced the ones that look discoloured, they all have good resistance so they are ok

Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question, but do all the bulbs at the rear work i.e. light up?
That is the brake lights, side lights, turn signals etc.

I appreciate you have done a continuity check on the bulbs but trying to understand what is/isn't working. Is it just the code that is coming up or actually a blown bulb?

Note some cars can change the bulbs when one blows so check for symmetry.

I assume this is an e85 preface.

Does the brake/rear light lamp have two elements in it. sounds like the brake element has blown, hence the fault appears when you press the brake pedal? Maybe this is why you are still getting a good reading as you may be testing the rear light element?

Replace the bulb to find out.

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback I'm getting, to answer dhobbs, It is just the right hand tail light that is not working, but the code says tail/brake light for left and right hand sides. I have checked at the point there is also no voltage to the effected lights that are not working.
All bulbs are the same in the headlight, which I thought was strange as I agree with one of the other comments that a brake light usually has two elements. Unless somebody has been mucking around with the lights before me ??????? Yes this is a e85 2003

Hi guys, these are the bulbs that are fitted to all of the fittings in both sides. No twin filaments
