Hi all

I'm gauging interest, (not sure if this is allowed if not admin please delete and pm me) I'm wondering if there's enough interest for the rear light overlays.
These will be machine cut on my plotter
Colour matched to lights as close as possible
Manufacturers guarantee upto 5 years durability

Price will be between £10-15 which includes Royal mail first class postage recorded
Would need about 10 to get the ball rolling.

I've no idea either but would hazard a guess that Silva1 is prepared to make/sell some sort of plastic film that covers the rear lights to change the appearance, darken them maybe? The cost is low so it can't be too sophisticated.
Interesting to find out.

looking at the back of my car the light isn't all red... so its a small piece to make them all red like the pics above.

What Beedub said, the indicator lights are clear on the rear hence the small red overlay to make it all red.

Wouldn't this make the indicator light red, is that even legal in the uk

I actually Quite like the standard rear lights on the facelift Model, The white section makes them quite appealing and modern I'm my opinion, the red to
me makes them look out dated

most of the current new vehicles have a all red tail section, this particular mod started in the U.S and seemed to be about modding... for the sake of modding.... makes no difference to me... and actually prefer the stock arrangement, maybe it looks better to me due to the silver paintwork?

Sorry i've edited the post to fit in a before and after comparison. The film is to cover the side clear indicators making the entire cluster red

Yes it is an American influenced idea, looks best on the white and black zeds imho

I've designed a shape through numerous trial and error to fit the indicator shape, this is then sent to our plotter which will cut to the same specifications of the design.

Don't get me wrong you can easily order yourself the same film for around £10 and free hand cut it with either scissors or a very sharp blade to save yourself a couple of quid. Having it machine cut will produce cleaner edges and a perfect cut every time

Cost is low because I'm trying to help out some fellow z4 owners, we have over 10k+ of equipment and software dedicated to producing vinyls, signs so on. Thought I'd may as well offer it to the forum members after taking time to measure and design cut file. I have my own set so I'm happy :D

looking at the pics above they do look awesome and more modern imo.... i started really looking today and pretty much every modern sports car has all red tail lights, again on my silver car i like the look but the other colours seem to work better with the all red, black particularly look cool as f**k....

Very nice to see these being cut properly too, darker coloured Zs NEED this... looks great.

I've got some of these (I do live in Yankland) and was initially disappointed that the indicator was completely red. I would imagine that different machines and vinyl will have different effects. I much prefer the back end having them all red though.
