A few of us have tried this

I removed mine as the indicator wasnt yellow enough

Yes, also with two different types of vinyl

I also tried the clear lights (looked crap)

Also! Using the clear lights with vinyl

Finally I just gave up and fitted facelift rears

I've got some of that film in the garage. I'm going to try out some green indicator bulbs as I read that works.

So it's a "maybe" on whether the green works. I'll give it a go as got some bright green glass paint that's good to 120 degrees as well as the film. Worst case scenario, it costs me a bulb.

I had some red tint on mine, and in my opinion they flashed orange enough to be ok. I however have a set of facelift rear lights waiting to be put on, like Ranski's pic 8)

Thanks for your advice mate - makes it easier to not waste my time with this... I like the idea of facelift lights, but having to source both lights and a bumper makes it not a cheap mod!

Would be ok if the bumper was the right colour and could be fitted without spraying. Never gonna happen though :headbang:

If anyone is after facelift rear brake lights then contact gmwparts on eBay. He led me to believe he could get hold of Z4 parts including rear lights quite easily.

Although they are based out of the USA you should be able to get them for around £100 inc shipping.

I contacted that ebay seller a few months back when I was looking for some, he had one and wanted $100 for the one, plus shipping.

They do come up now and then, I got a pair from here for something like £70. I am looking to buy a rear bumper soon, and have the front M and rear (non-m) done at the same time, with some of the boot lid and wings blown over as the paint/lacquer just doesn't look right to me, very very dull in places.

Fitting and admiring the mods is the best part

Sourcing them is the worst part...

Thanks! I've got a pre-facelift bumper waiting to go on for a PDC conversion but I've been putting it off - I reckon I've probably already convinced myself that I need to do it!!
