Rear Light Convert Question

I can't be trusted to mess around with wiring and as you can see from my dodgy arrows on these pics my painting isnt the best  My question is can this part (Picture One) be cut out or popped out from the rear of the light then replaced with the coloured part in the second pic! Hope this makes sence and hope I am not repeating an already raised issue. Im sure this option has been explored by some of your guys, just wanted to double check

It certainly can't be 'popped' out as it's a complete plastic welded unit. You my be able to cut the entire lens off 2 lights and if you are accurate mate the surfaces and rebond them. I've done it with the equivelant of the fog light lens that's all red in your second image.

Not easy though, but there's a write up of what I did if you want to read it:

Cheers CJ, I have had a look at your thread and you make it sound easy mate, I am sure this will take me a little longer but I fancy a go at this one! I may be on again in a few weeks under the problems section saying I have no rear lights working  once again thanks

Just tint 'em.

If done carefully, there's no way to tell them apart from OEM lenses, much easier than a "cut-and-shut" :D
