Rear Light Cluster

Evening All,

Looking for some help if possible for my e89 35iS 2010.Has anyone experienced both the rear indicator and side light failing but the brake lights ok? I did at first think it was just the LED indicator that was out because had the usual fast blink of the indicator but when I put the side lights on there was nothing either. It’s only the drivers side cluster.
 
I assume you've had this fixed by now, but I just had a similar problem. I think these light units are/were very susceptible to damp getting in. I had to replace the whole unit.
 
Yep got it sorted a few days later. Searched online for a replacement and ended up going to Euro Car Parts. It’s a poor design though that you have to change the whole unit.

That's quite clever! :thumbsup:
 
I would have done it old school using the LM3914 dot/bar driver and 741 op amps to ramp the voltage up.
