rear light cluster removal

Hi all,

My Zeee is in the local indy having a new gearbox fitted.
While its there I am planning to remove the rear light clusters, bring them home, dry them out and reseal them.
My question is this;
What kind of seal is used around the light cluster to weatherproof the boot interior and will it be damaged when I remove them i.e. a foam strip??

All help appreciated, its blazing sunshine in Devon today and I have no Zeee :x

Hi, if you use the search facility I think Bryan (dietcokeman) posted a good how to with these lights & how to seal them

I have done mine few weeks ago, changed one light and sealed both (Inc the new one) with clear silicone.

Problem with silicon it tends to be a bit reluctant to stick to the plastic, as i found out a year after first using. I just used plenty of Evo-stik spray glue, no problems since. The video i made was probably about the five or sixth time i had these out trying to seal them with silicone. Gave up and used glue.
