Need your help. i have light blub indicator on. I turn on my headlights, fog lights and everything is ok. When i turn my signal lights, the light bulb indicator came on, pls the signal light flashing more faster and ticking faster than normal. I saw right right stop light not working, only the orange is working. I replace the stop light bulb, but still no light.

Normally, both stop (red) and turn(orange) bulb will work when making turn. I remove the orange light bulb, than the red stop light works. I return the orange light bulb, than only the organge bulb work.

I remove the rear right side assembly and clean the contacts, but still same s**t.

I went to fuse box, they were okay but i could not check the last fuse 59,60 (40 amps). very top right of fuse box , very hard to take out.

I used a tester to see if there was current on the contacts/bulb socket. i remove both red and orange bulb, both register have power 8volts. I place orange bulb, tested red bulb socket-ok.,. Place red bulb into socket , remove orange bulb-socket okay.

put both ornage and red bulb back into socket, only orange works

need your help

I'd put my money on 2 things and in order:
1) the connector to the light unit. Undo it and reconnect to ensure it's a good contact
2) the earth point for the lamp being a poor connection. Track it down, clean it and try again. (brown wire)

okay here is the proper function. Turning right of left the orange bulb blinks only. So, my right rear is good. it blinks orange when turn right signal. But my left when turning left signal both orange and red bulb light up. I replace all bulbs. There is no graound on the left rear light assembly. I check the terminal connector from the car. There is current on the last 2 connectors leading to the tail light blinking.

How can i fix this?

Of course there's an earth - follow the harness to where it eventually touches the body. Without an earth there is no circuit or lights

Your problem sounds like a poor earth causing another bulb and circuit to create the earth.

Of course you don't say where your from and each country has different light patterns??

Failing that try a new light assembly.

CJ - your starting to sound just like a BMW technician - but of course he would have gone for the new light assembly first! :poke:

AlanJ - lol

For sure they'd have started with a new LCM and light unit then eventually fixed the earth and charged £200

Seems repair by replacement has replaced good old fashioned investigation and proper repair.

hi guys. i live in the us. for the left rear light , i test the connector/harnesss of the car. the last tow pins There is 8-6 volt jumping up and down. making the taillight light up with the orange light. The right rear light, the last two pins dont have current, thus the tail light does not light up with the orange light.

need your help.

ktz784 - Apologies, but I have no idea what you are talking about to be able to offer any more help.
