Rear kicking out

Hey guys,

I bought my zed late part of last year. Few things needed doing to it like wishbone bushes and rear suspensions. I've changed them and could feel the difference.

But one problem I am having and I don't know whether this is common or just happening to my car. Sometimes when I switch lane and touch the road markings the rear end plays a little. Dunno whether its down to crappy rear tyres the car came with or something serious. This isn't all the time but sometimes. It just means I gotta be careful and hold the steering wheel properly just in case.

Any of you guys ever had this issue?

Thanks

Sounds like crappy rear tyres!

Alignment and check the tyre pressures.

If it has runflats then ditch them and invest in decent tyres all round.

If not you should really invest in decent tyres all round anyway as it's worth the money for your own safety.

Ah yeah! I do have run flat Bridgestone tyres on the front and non run flat cheap tyres for the rear. Just wanna wear them all out, sooner the better. I had the alignment the done after the wishbones were replaced.

Thanks for the advice guys!

I'm definitely no expert but from what I've read on this forum the guys advise against mixing run flats with normal tyres. May well have something to do with the handling issues!

That tyre combo sounds like a recipe for disaster.
You're front end will be pointy, wanting to follow all the ruts in the road and the grip on the rear could be questionable.
Get some decent non run flats on all round.

:( damn! Need to look for some decent 4 non run flats. Need to go through for forums and see what people are recommending. What do you guys have?

Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetic 2 seem to be a favourite on the forum!
I have them on mine and absolutely love them. At the time of buying it was a shortlist of either those or Michellin Pilot SuperSport.

Perfect. I'll start looking into this. Hopefully I can wear my current ones out sooner.

Can always eBay your current ones if they have meat left on them.

Falken 452 or 453 also another forum favourite.
