Rear Hub Nut Corroded

Hi everyone,

I'd like some advice please, recently removed the rear wheels off my new to me Z4 E86 (2006) and have noticed the rear hub nuts are severely corroded. My suspicion is the thread will not be in a useable condition.

Can anyone tell me if the CV joint can be replaced and if so where to buy? I have already searched online for CV joints and driveshafts and cannot find any that state they are suitable. Autodoc, Euro Car Parts etc don't return any results.

Based in UK.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Craig

Does it need replacing? If not leave it till it does. Can’t say I’ve ever heard of one failing. I think you’ll buy a complete re manufactured shaft as well.

Here are the RealOEM diagrams for the parts you may need to look for...

hub/bearing

drive/output shaft

I'm surprised the rear doesn't have a cap (to keep grease in) like the front does, but I couldn't see one listed.

Thank you mmm-five, I have got the part numbers from RealOEM, trouble is nowhere seems to offer them for sale.
